Branch Manager – Equitas Kitwe Office

This is a senior leadership role suited to a results-driven professional capable of combining operational management, business development and legal practice oversight within the Copperbelt region.
🔹 Position Overview
The Branch Manager will be responsible for:
- Providing overall leadership and strategic direction of the Kitwe office
- Driving business development and client relationship management
- Ensuring delivery of high-quality legal services
- Overseeing financial performance and operational efficiency
- Supervising legal and administrative staff
- Ensuring regulatory and professional compliance
The successful candidate will play a critical role in strengthening the firm’s footprint in the Copperbelt and expanding its corporate and commercial portfolio.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a growth strategy for the Kitwe office
- Manage branch financial performance including billing, collections and cost control
- Lead and mentor associates and support staff
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, mining companies, financial institutions and SMEs
- Ensure adherence to LAZ regulations and professional standards
- Represent the firm in stakeholder engagements and professional forums
🔹 Minimum Requirements
- Advocate of the High Court of Zambia with a valid Practising Certificate
- Minimum of 5 years post-admission experience, preferably with exposure to corporate, mining, commercial or dispute resolution practice
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience
- Strong business development and networking skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High levels of integrity, professionalism and discretion
- LLM will be an added advantage
